Since opening in 1941, the Cow Palace has welcomed more than 50 million visitors through its doors. And on October 12th-13th & 19th-20th, it will be showcasing the 2018 Grand National Livestock, Horse Show and Rodeo!
Since its beginning in 1941, the Grand National Rodeo at the Cow Palace has brought rodeo, agricultural heritage and entertainment to the San Francisco Bay Area. The top cowgirls and cowboys put their skills to the test in professional PRCA rodeo. From the opening ceremony and grand entry to the timed events, rough stock rides and contract acts, the Grand National Rodeo is bound to be pure spectacle.
Contestants will be participating in the following events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, women’s barrel racing, and bull riding. The GNR will also be welcoming stars from past events, including Cotton Rosser, Anthony Lucia, Bobby Kerr Mustangs and Justin “Rumpshaker” Rumford. Additionally, guests will have a chance to meet Miss Grand National Rodeo Sydney Frank.
Box seats for adults, seniors (62+), children (2-12), groups (15 or more) all come in at $45. Dress circle tickets for adults come in at$25, and for seniors (62+) and children (2-12) at $16. To contact the Box Office, call 415.404.4112.
In addition to the rodeo, visitors to the Cow Palace can also avail of the quintessential western experience from October 12th to October 20th, through events like a classic western BBQ, marketplace shopping, livestock exposition, horse shows, exclusive autograph signings, music, dancing, mechanical bull rides and more!
The World Famous Grand National BBQ is held in the South Hall on performance nights from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Tickets for the BBQ can be purchased in Advance through Ticketmaster, at Cow Palace’s Box Office or in person at the BBQ.
